Background of the Study
Access to primary healthcare is a fundamental aspect of public health, ensuring that individuals receive essential medical services. Public relations (PR) plays a critical role in enhancing access to primary healthcare by promoting awareness, engaging stakeholders, and addressing barriers. In Dutse Local Government Area (LGA), Jigawa State, challenges such as inadequate facilities, poor communication, and cultural factors hinder access to healthcare. According to Bello and Yusuf (2024), PR strategies such as health education campaigns, stakeholder collaboration, and community engagement are vital for improving healthcare access. This study examines the role of PR in enhancing access to primary healthcare in Dutse LGA.

These issues prevent many residents from accessing essential medical services.
